Don't think I'll be watching. It's not like I have to be concerned about the characters anymore. There's no essence of danger, no suspense. Anyone who dies now, time can be rewritten.

To expand on what JC was saying, you're notgoing to have to worry about that sort of storytelling in the future, because it was a staple of Moffat's characters. Its not necessarily bad writing, but when it is repeated nearly every series, it gets stale. I'm expecting a fresh new Who when it returns for the special this year.

Joss Whedon said he'd write a Doctor Who episode if The Doctor was a female or Idris Elba. This sort of reintroduces the question that was popular during Capaldi's casting on how the character shouldn't be restricted to just__some white male. With, hopefully, three more series of Capaldi ahead of us, I think it's safe to discuss this topic once again of diversity.

Personally, the whole point of Doctor Who has been about change. Writers have changed, stars have changed, sets have changed, crew, showrunners, all of 'em.

Should the Doctor forever stay a male? I don't really care. But if he did turn into a female, I wouldn't have a problem. As long as they don't shoehorn stuff like girls being treated in an inferior manner (Mind you, I'm no misogynist, but I hate it when they shove it down our throats that women are being oppressed when relative to older times, they clearly are not.), I am totally on board.

So we'll be getting a new Doctor soon. Wonder who it'll be.
