Figured I'd let myself recover for awhile after the mid season finale and, well, my thoughts on... that episode are fairly simple.
Fuck you, Moffat. Not only was death itself cheapened beyond repair(Hell any time that someone dies now, it'll be "they must not be as good as Clara if the Doctor doesn't go to Gallifrey and save them from the moment they died" because there's obviously not damn consequences or time limit for theme to get back) but the Doctor was WAY out of character in this episode. I mean, ffs, a guy who seems to have such knowledge of the Doctor's core being and have him hold a gun... Just. No. There was more butchering to his character then that but this was the greatest offense. The Doctor used a gun. I don't care if he knew the guy would regenerate. The Doctor would NOT do that! He wouldn't. I'm sorry but no and you expect me to believe he's just nonchalant about being home, the one place that had finally returned and that he had been searching for, the same place he hasn't seen since its destruction, that he doesn't even take a minute to let that sink in? Mistakes just off the wall, everywhere!
Yea... I think I'm done. I don't think I'll be continuing this season. Goodbye, DW. It's been a fun ride... but I don't think I can take the abuse anymore. You'll always have a place in my heart but I can't do it with Moffat in charge... the guy's tapped out.
